The annual CYR spring fling went off without a hitch. We celebrated
Easter with our many friends and family. We kept with the Mardi Gras
theme from our recent visit to New Orleans. On the menu were various
delicious appetizers, including our tradition of serving lamb. Gary
cooked up some delicious mini lamb chops for all to enjoy. The main
course was Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. (Yes it is the recipe
from the New Orleans cooking class), served with potato salad and rice.
There were also several tasty desserts.
Popular games were the Easter Egg hunt, Egg toss and the
Egg relay. We continued with the now 3rd annual Peep Launch and began a
new tradition with the 1st annual "Custom" Peep Launch contest. There
were four entries in this new category where Al and Dave tied for the
win. Al's launcher was most controversial, Dave's was most creative. We
are now forced to develop the Peep Launch Rule Book for next year.
Thanks to all who came and played with us!
