Happy 25 Years Wendy & Jerry!

We visited New Orleans March 10 -14 in honor of Jerry & Wendy's 25th Wedding Anniversary. Chris & Lorie
also went on the trip and we ran into Dennis & Gina who were there on a
separate visit. The six of us stayed in the famous French Quarter where
the city never sleeps. We enjoyed a
horse and buggy ride through the "quarter" where we learned a little about
it's history. It is nice to see tourism returning to New Orleans. Six of
us
participated in a cooking class at the
New Orleans School of Cooking
where we learned how to prepare Oysters Rockefeller, Chicken & Andouille
Sausage Gumbo, Caesar Salad with traditional Caesar dressing and Stuffed
Pork Loin. Also during the week, we took a swamp tour on a large airboat
where a few of us were able to hold an alligator. After the swamp tour
we toured the Houmas
House plantation. What a beautiful place! All in all it was a
wonderful trip and we were honored to spend Wendy & Jerry's anniversary
with them.
